A cleaned 275 gives you a serious rainwater harvest — link a few together for a whole roof's runoff and take pressure off the well and the storm drain.
Garden planters
Cut the top off a food-grade bottle and you've got a deep raised bed with a built-in reservoir — tomatoes love the root run.
Compost bins
Drill some airflow, add a hatch, and a retired tote turns into a rodent-resistant tumbler or bin that shrugs off weather for years.

One rule above all: know what the tote held before. For anything that touches edible plants, potable water, or livestock, start from a food-grade bottle with documented prior contents.
