They're ideal for non-potable water; use food-grade totes for anything potable and a UL-listed tank, not a standard IBC, for regulated fuels.

A construction site is no place for fragile packaging — the caged IBC is engineered for it.
The galvanized steel cage absorbs impacts from forks, rebar, and stacked materials that would puncture a bare tank, while the 40x48 pallet base keeps totes forkliftable across mud and gravel. Reconditioned totes are inspected before they ship. One caution worth repeating: fuel is regulated. Standard IBC totes and fittings are not certified for diesel or gasoline storage in most jurisdictions — use a UL-listed fuel tank and confirm fire-code and DOT rules. For water and mixing duty, add the right valves, camlocks and pump fittings.
